Learn Spanish > Seville Teen Homestay Program
2009 Teen Summer in Seville, Spain ![]()
Location Seville, the capital of Andalusia, is an easy city to love! On looks alone, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. But there is a vibrant personality that creates a beauty far more than skin deep. The city offers an explosion of colours and the contrasts between the modern and the traditiona remind you that, while Seville has been enjoying a building boom for the last 20 years, this is a city whose history dates back to Phoenician times (1000 BC). With cultural activities ranging from Flamenco to bullfighting at the famous Maestranza Bullring, and cuisine that is thought by many to be the best in Southern Spain, Seville offers something for everyone! With a population just under 700,000, Seville is an easy city to experience. All the major historical and cultural sites, as well as the host school and accommodation, are within walking distance of each other. Some of the most unspoiled beaches of Europe are just an hour away. And Doñana National Park, Europe's most important wetland reserves and a major site for migrating birds, makes for a great and easily accessible day trip. Note to Star Wars fans: You might recognize the Plaza de España as the site where scenes were shot for Planet "Naboo" in later Star Wars films. Course The Homestay Program in Seville is the perfect combination of Spanish lessons and leisure and culture activities that you can enjoy with other young participants from all around the world.
