Valley of Kings in Egypt

These valleys are located on the west bank of River Nile near Luxor. This is where the mighty kings of Egypt were buried between 11th and 16th century BC. It is believed that the valley has about 63 tombs and many of them contain priceless Egyptian antiquities. This valley is one of the archaeological sites that are famous in the world. When you visit these valleys, you will see these tombs which have been plundered. The Valley of Kings was known after the discovery of the intact tomb of Tutankhamun in the year 1922.
